Just as a point of reference, I believe F3C Heli guys have been 12S for some time now.

Mark,
Great feedback!  Thank you.  I'll add your comments to the proposals.

Hey Derek,
I think these all look good.  Some comments.
5.1.2 - Increasing the voltage.  It seems to me that the primary benefit here is not a performance matter, but an equipment reliability and endurance matter.  Running 12s significantly lowers the amperage draw required to deliver the same wattage to the system.  Doing so decreases the role that resistance plays in the system.  That reduces heat SIGNIFICANTLY, increases efficiency, and reduces the wear, and likelihood of failure.    The F3C world did this out of pure necessity.  They were pulling 160amps through their systems, which requires very heavy gauge wiring throughout to prevent fires and damage.  Increasing the voltage in the system improves all of that .
The power at the end of the flight issue is only there because the system is more efficient and therefore slightly longer flight times are available.  Less power lost to heat.
The safety factor I’ve already addressed.

5.1.3 - The Caller being part of the team.  Does it make sense to note the the primary point of this is to facilitate some of the team funding rules that are in place??  This helps some teams with their costs by formally making the caller a member of the “team”.   We also want to be clear when you state that the caller has to have paid an entry fee…that it be a “Helper” entry fee… not a participant fee.  That would totally defeat the purpose.
There were a few various typos in the mix.  I didn’t note them but can if you need that sort of feedback.

Hi everyone,
I've created 5 rule proposals that I will be submitting to CIAM to be considered for our next rules cycle.
1.  Rule clarification on rolls in the same direction2.  Modify electric to use 12 cells instead of 103.  Change the number of judges from 20 to 164.  Allow a junior WC to fly in the next WC as a defending WC provided they are still a junior5.  Clarify the definition of a pilot/caller as a team
See the attached.
Let me know your thoughts ASAP so that I can get these submitted.  BTW, if you'd like to see other rule changes, let me know and I can work on getting it submitted, if it makes sense.
