dihedral question

That's exactly what I'd do if I was going to rig the Kaos for entry 
level pattern.  Reduced dihedral will improve the stall turn by reducing 
the dihedral effect from rudder input.  It will also improve rolling 
characteristics, once again due to reduction of the dihedral effect. 
What you're looking for is a balanced effect in which the adverse effect 
of the low wing is balanced by the wing's actual dihedral effect so 
there's a neutral effect of the combination.
