MessageChuck,

Shorten the front end of the True-Turn adapter nut and use an extra
washer between prop and nut to stop the nut from bottoming out
on shaft.

  Subject: Spinner Question

Has anybody figured out a way to get a TT 3" FAI spinner to mount on an OS 1.60 FX? Problem is that the adapter nut is so long that the spinner won't seat on the backplate (by at least 1/4"). I've talked to Tru-Turn, and options are:

  1. Change to std spinner (which may put me out of the 2m box)
  2. Modify the adapter nut in lathe to cut it down. But if I modify it, the nut may bottom on the crank, which means that I'd have to cut the crank down (and I'm not planning on doing that).

  Any tips appreciated, Chuck
