Excelleron RTF weight?

Hi Gang,
I need to go recheck the exact CG, as it was fairly fussy: I moved the 3.7 oz battery just 4" and it made a big difference. I also put 1/16" positive in the wing, because the remaining canopy pitch in both verticals and both K.E.s would have required running tail-heavy. The plane flies with absolutely no coupling, and still has its "groove". I'll go measure carefully tonight.

Regards,

Nat: our calculating equip seems to agree. Last night I did the measurements and came out with the same loading, 22.4oz/sq ft.
Should fly just fine at that loading! I also checked the CG. I am about 7 1/2 inches back from the wing LE. The instructions suggest 7". Do you remember where your CG is? Have you made any changes in it since flying?

Terry, you'll be about 22.4 or so.... at 9.25, mine is 24.1 (all info on my website). It's 6.1 sq ft area.

Bob: I have not calculated the wing loading yet. Will take some measurements tonight and do that! Thanks for the info.

DIdn't see other replies, Terry, but I think you're right on....mine, with the ST2300 is 9.2, so you're in good shape. Fortunately, it has LOTS of wing....

I have just finished my Excelleron. I have a YS 91 in the nose and used
all the hardware and construction proceedures recommended in the
instruction manual. Final all up weight, less fuel, is 8# 5oz. How does
that compare to what you guys have been finding?
