Hi Jim,
 I do a similar amount of driving but wanted to maximize the amount of gear I could haul. In my Toyota Sienna I can carry two 2m birds, with my wife and dog plus all of my contest gear. In the mixed driving to and from work it averages 26 mpg and highway cruising I have seen over 28 mpg.
 The previous car was a Probe GT and with the hatch down I could carry a 2m retract bird and have a lot more fun but that was all I could carry.
Despite the negative score for cool factor the minivan is tough to beat.

Anthony

Hi Guys,

I commute about 75 miles a day, then do about 100 miles of driving a weekend for practice so I am on the road a lot. I am thinking to down sizing one of my cars. At this point, I’m thinking about these three:

Scion XB, 28, hwy mileage
Honda Fit, 34, hwy mileage
Chevy HHR, 30 , hwy mileage
$ these around $16,000

Here is a nice website that allows you to do car by car comparisons. http://scionbuyersguide.theautochannel.com/compare_details.php?car1=21667&car2=22687&car3=22711&car4=

OR – is something like the Dodge Grand Caravan the way do go, and that is the biggest bang for the buck?

Any ideas would be great.
Thanks,
Jim
