Yeah, and if you get a 24" monitor, and get a half price Pinnacle Ultra Stick TV tuner(Woot) you can practice and have your favorite team (KC) losing in the corner. Life is good...better when they win... fat chance...

If you are having others install this stuff you should check their plans and what cables. The guy that did ours for some reason chose not to use HDMI although every component was capable. Wife had it installed as a gift so I came home to a giant TV which was cool.

...ehh.... not really the electronics forum....lol

so...to bring it back to pattern...i need to get a new computer and flight sim now...there..hows that....

Late at night--only girl in town.... HOWEVER...I would suggest using a good quality plug/cable as there are several connections made in that little jewel. As an aside--in case one doesn't know--if you are using composite(the three cable set-up) and your stuff is in any way capable of using HDMI or DVI/HDMI--even if it means doing some extra switching to get it working--It IS worth it. And there are converter DVI to HDMI plugs available and work well. G4.5 has a little higher resolution so you can see the airplane 'out there' on turnarounds easier... Monster is pretty proud of their cables and adapters, though... I think 'S' video is still used, works OK and those cables aren't outrageously priced.RS

With the plain vga connector I can't get a full screen or the higher resolutions. With the HDMI input from tthe DVI output of the video card (some cards have hdmi output) you can get the higher resolutions and full screen. You will probably need a USB extension cord from your transmitter to be able to stand in front of the monitor though. A wireless connection from your transmitter would be nice :)Stuart C.John Konneker wrote:
The "Geek Squad" is coming today to hook up a LCD big screen we got for Christmas.(Paula and the kids won't let me touch it...they think I'd mess it up..):-(Anyway, if I ever get the chance...like they've gone for a couple days to visit grandma...how's a sim work hooked up to one of these things?shhhh...Don't ever tell her I asked!lolJLK
