It’s an FAI class for giant scale aerobatics. There’s precision sequence flying with knowns and unknowns, using a defined box, and there’s also freestyle.

Ummmmm. . . . what is F3M?

Sorry to bother you again but when I tried to find the F3M rules I got a "your not etherized" message.

What I was looking for was the box top. Is it open or restricted to 60 degrees?

  Thanks

  Jim

The box described in the current F3M rules is just fine. I think it is 150 degrees, a little more generous than the pattern box. Thanks, Jim W.

Would that be the 150 degree box with perpendicular ends or the old 120 degree box.

Hopefully F3M keeps the box lines, and does NOT adopt ACS. Jim

  · The 2013 F3A World Championships has been awarded to South Africa!

  · F3P is now an official world championship class. We can expect to have the 1st world championship in 2015. For those that aren't familiar with F3P - it is indoor aerobatics.

  · I also have some exciting news for F3M - large scale aerobatics - we (the F3 technical committee) will be working over the next 2 years to modify the rules for F3M to bring them into line with IMAC rules thus making it a lot easier for those countries to that don't have F3M, but do fly IMAC, to adopt F3M with the possibility at some point to have a F3M world championship.
