[NSRCA-discussion] What the Worlds prelimiary scores mean

The numbers we saw published for preliminary rounds 1 through 3 had values in the 300-490 range. I was trying to figure out what that number represented, so I pulled out my copy of GNAMI from the 2011 Worlds and looked at the data.  GNAMI calculates the value for each maneuver for each judge (score*K-Factor) , then calculates the total flight score for each judge.  It then calculates the average of the judges score, and that is the number we see. I attached a sample spreadsheet showing what GNAMI does. The value highlighted in yellow is the number shown on the published scores.
