[NSRCA-discussion] Mac Hodges

I started my garage shop 41+ years ago when I had to drive 45 miles to Pensacola for hobby items, so I could get items for myself and to provide an accessible and less expensive source to local club members. In those years, local storefront hobby shops have come and gone. My shop could be a source for locals to get Horizon and Great Planes products. However, they both say their rules preclude offering me a dealership. The frustrating thing in all this is that they break their own rules all the time by providing dealerships to storefronts which are too close to other storefronts to be eligible to get the dealerships, according to their published rules.

> Ron, my experience as a store-front hobby shop owner is that Horizon is pretty good to work with, GP treats modest shops like ours (yet, we did over $900K/year in the good times) like dirt. When we went belly-up, we paid GP only about $0.75 on the dollar -- some revenge, anyway...

This despite the consistent proof that storefronts cannot make it here in my town. It's frustrating for me and my customers.
