<DIV><FONT face=Arial>Yes on the K-factor on line. It is there
now, eventually, but I agree that on line usage could certainly be
enhanced. Of course you have to have the articles and info before it can
be posted. I would have liked to have seen the survey on the
website. Granted all are not on line but that is not a reason not to use
all the tools available to full advantage. Many say that a 20 to 25
percent return on a survey is good. In some forums I would agree but when
you are in such small numbers as our organization and as specialized as it is
then I feel that turnout is pretty anemic. It was a large survey that
might have had more meaningful and quantitative results if it could have been in
two parts. First draft in print and online and then a refined (from first
results) second posting in both media. Not, griping per se just
pondering. I will keep promoting pattern and the NSRCA to my best
ability...its just right now with new flyers (not into the politics are eyeing
to far in the future just yet) it is tough to sell them the benefits and
importance of NSRCA.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial>Hi Dan,</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT
face=Arial> Glad
to hear all the new guys getting involved. One of the things I try to impress
upon guys not sure about joining, is their voice (provided they vote) in
approving the NSRCA proposals. I feel that in itself is worthy of joining.
Many do not like the "power" NSRCA has with this aspect of rules proposals,
but if enough join, and enough vote, then the rules will more closely follow
the majorities feelings toward any given issue. I do agree that a K Factor is
still the number one reason most join. I wonder (or has this been discussed)
how hard it would be to put a K Factor online even if there is no "hard copy"
printed. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial> Great to see ya online,

<DIV><FONT face=Arial>Most of the contest I attended this year had as many
contestants as the past few years and the majority had a few
more. Here in Springfield, after several years of promoting pattern to
anyone that would get with in hollering distance, it is showing some
positive results. Two started flying some pattern this year in
Sportsman and there are 4 more that are going to have new 2 meter planes
this spring. Interesting note...none of these new pattern flyers are
NSRCA members as yet. I really can't give them much reason to join
right now. It is a really hard sell without a constant and dependable
K-</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>factor. It just kinda seems like our
organization is in a state of flux. A survey that few filled out with
results that it seems few wanted. The website is somewhat stagnate and
right now the direction that we are going is not well defined.

<DIV><FONT face=Arial>I am a member and will remain, but I can sure see how
the membership has dwindled while, at least within the Midwest pattern is
showing some growth.</FONT></DIV>
