The only problem I see with this list is sometimes two, three, or more folks<BR>
get into a heated debate and then it gets personal...<BR>

Wonder how many people signed on and the e-mails I'm referring to is the<BR>
first thing they see about Pattern? Nobody even knows that some one is<BR>
viewing in the background (not that it even matters)<BR>

It would not be difficult to draw a conclusion that Pattern Folks are stuck<BR>
up and not friendly based on those e-mails, thus turning them away to start<BR>
another phase of the, "bad reputation for pattern".<BR>

Otherwise I like the discussion list, been a NSRCA member for a couple of<BR>
years, never logged an official flight in a contest, and believe that the<BR>

I have a sneaking suspicion that most of the folks who monitor the list, agree with you Larry. That could be why you only see those few rehash their stuff in plain view, rather than take it off line. They often don't drag new blood in.<BR>

About never logging an official flight, you should at least try it soon. In my native country we have a saying that translates into something like..."continuous 'God Have Mercy'.... is boring to the priest" . The point is, endless practice has little meaning. <BR>

Please understand that pattern is alot of things to those of us who have been in it a long time. One main thing it is, is a journey not a destination, to quote an overused cliche. <BR>
