Dan is the man! I use the same pull-pull on elevator and rudder, but I use 30# coated steel fishing leader. THat's 30# for each elevator half. It's lighter, easier to bend and work with, and seems reliable. The wire exit guides are a must on a carbon fiber Aries fuse.
For safety, I've seen several people put 4 eyelets at the servo end (2 at each arm) so that each elevator half has a dedicated wire. Then, if a wire breaks, the other elevator half keeps working. I've seen a Prophecy fly around and land after losing an elevator half. I guess we really don't need a full elevator for basic flight. This is a good idea, but the extra 2 eyelet linkages are a small weight penalty and its harder to wire up. I've never done it this way (I use one looped wire for both halves), but after seeing Wayne lose his plane because of a bad crimp, I'm considering changing.
