The thanks goes to Paul Floccari, a flying buddy and many time Toledo Show
winner. He has been in RC for more than 40 years and has
forgotten more about building and flying than most of us know.

Also remember to glue the hinge into both the movable and non-movable
surface at the same time. Dry assemble the parts, make sure the hinges are
centered, bend the surface to full deflection, then wick thin CA into the
center of the hinge. Do all the hinges on one side, then bend the surface
the other way and repeat. Don't go back and add glue to "make it
stronger", the CA will not wick into the joint and can form a sharp ridge
in the center which will cut the hinge over time. Have some
paper towels and debonder or acetone ready in case any CA that runs
out of the joint and onto the covering. I have been told this can happen,
it never happens to me <IMG

guess I should also note I haven't used that method on most of my planes

about making the hinge stiff - just be sure you are using THIN CA!!
