Still tight and hard to keep running without overheating. Finally I got a run with a high idle that did not overheat. Then Dave persuaded me to go to full throttle and set it rich. It worked much better this time. A tank later we put it in the air. It ran very rich in the air. Several landings later<SPAN class=506532402-12052003> ... </SPAN><SPAN class=506532402-12052003>with Dave turning in the needle a click or two at a time.. </SPAN>we got a flight where we could lean it by climbing and cool<SPAN class=506532402-12052003> down</SPAN> by diving. Round and square loops did the job. I know the engine was tight before I began but was surprised that I had to be so diligent with the break-in. My question to you experienced Mintor-men is. "Is this usual?"
