you Shel. Pipes on 4 cycles engines do not boost power. They may not be as
restrictive as some mufflers. In competition we want quiet and we need vertical
performance. As long as you don't need long verticals you should have a

ys 1.20 for a couple 1.20 size planes soon.i've seen some 1.20's for sale with
stock muffler,no header/pipe.can these engines be used with success using a
stock muffler as opposed to header/pipe if the planes are not competition
bound?i prefer using a 4st but will have to buy used due to my small
