<DIV>I have read that some people use Mobile 1 or Valvoline 10W-30 for after
run. I've also heard that over time, that practice can cause the engine to
gum up. Does any one know anything about this? How do you clean a gummed up
engine?</DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Personally, I think after run oil is a
waste of time and money. If you fly often enough, the properties in the
fuel will keep your engine in check, provided you do not have lean runs.
I believe that the fuels have gotten better and cleaner and have all the
properties an engine needs to stay lubricated. I have not had any major
problems from not using after run oil.</FONT></DIV>
