worked for me. First, I removed the sleeve. This gave me the
clearance to slide the conrod toward the rear on the crankpin. While
slowly turning the crank, I found the spot where the clearance was right to let
it slide off. It came off easily then.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> Reinstalling was a bit of a
challenge, because you have to get the conrod on the crankpin, and start the
sleeve OVER the piston from the top. Be careful about the pin index in the
piston ring groove...there is one, it is very small, and must have the ring
positioned properly to let the sleeve compress it.</FONT></DIV>

connecting rod of my 160FX. Do they come off together ? The sleeve is removed.
I tried pulling on the rod with crank at TDC but could only get it halfway
