Everyone that I have taught or helped fly beginning pattern has said that it has made them an all around better pilot. The sportsman pattern has a very good set of maneuvers to get a solid foundation for more advanced flying. (Straight and level flight, inverted flight, loops, rolls, vertical lines, etc.)<BR>
