experiences. Lost two planes in a row -same radio, and all checked ok-.His
went to full throttle both times -that was what his fail safe was set to.
Don't know why but it was. Nothing found on radio checks-different
switches/wiring in the planes. </FONT></DIV>

at Pensacola went to fail safe, but Lamar got him out of it by
resetting in flight. Nothing found wrong--But has not had further
problems with a borrowed Xmitter. Nothing found wrong with original
Xmitter.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Using a JR10 radio and PCM receiver. Plane in a
vertical climb at full power. Lost power pretty high in the sky, plane did a
tail slide and flipped to a straight down line. No response. Noticed that
the engine was not stopped but idling. It took between 6-10 sec of a
straight down line until it disintegrated on the runway.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Immediately thought 'fail safe' which was set
to idle and neutral controls. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Battery and switch checks did not show any
obvious problem. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Interference is unlikely due to the long
elapsed time w/o any response as well as a subsequent <FONT face=Arial
size=2>Frequency sweep check which did not show any spurrious signals on our
frequencies.</FONT> </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Transmitter voltage well above 10.
</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Any ideas on how to isolate the cause? or just
junk the receiver and even the transmitter as our previous experience with
repairs on intermittent problems are not encouraging.</FONT></DIV>
