Hi Guys,

I'm aware that some people have posted
messages regarding the fact that some
messages appear to have been
moderated and so do not appear in the list. I
have no idea as to why
this is happening, all I can say is that the list
server is behaving a
little odd. Big brother is not looking honest!

As I sit here in
a gloomy Oxford England, I reflect on when this list was
setup some four
years ago. It's a credit to you all that in that time I've
only had
to forceably eject one loon.

When the list was started, there were a
number of other lists running, and
there was some doubt as to whether or
not the NSRCA starting one would work.
It was setup in part, due to the
number of offensive posts and junk in those
lists. At the time I was
living in sunny VA (miss it like crazy, not to
mention the folks I got to
know). I have always believed that the pattern
crowd where an
inteligent bunch and that they did not need to resort to
profanity to get
a message across. Those that have wandered over the years
have only
needed a gentle reminder.

It's kinda weird, that while the list has
been hudgely sucessful in the US,
it's failed to take off elsewhere.
Don't ask me why, maybe it's a cultural
thing. In europe, it seems
the order of the day to use on line forums.
Indeed the one I setup
for the British association blew apart the Microsoft
forum sofware, it
simply wasn't designed for the number of posts!

To that end I have
setup a new forum for discussion, accessed from
www.gbrcaa.org, (direct link www.gbrcaa.org/phpBB2 )
It's only been
available for a few days and already the posts are
expanding rapidly. The
software I managed to obtain to run this is
quite outstanding. The server
the system runs on, is actualy located
on the west coast USA, so access
should be fairly snappy. So if you
want to know what the Europeans are up
to give it a try.

I should
add, that this is in now way an attempt to subjigate this list,
it's
simply another way to get valuable info. This list will always be the
oracle to getting info you want RIGHT NOW!

God bless you all, and
may the list continue to expand exponentialy

Nik Middleton
List
