<DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>Hi Eric </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>Thanks for the explanation of the rules change
cycle "process" for the AMA and the NSRCA. As you know in Canada we fly the
Masters and Advanced schedules is synch with our neighbours in the US. This
has led, I believe, to the increase in cross border competition. (It's a
good thing!) I am not sure if we (Canada) will adopted the AMA's (NSRCA)
Sportsman and Intermediate schedules but it's certainly more a probability
than not going forward. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>The bigger issue....</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>Now an open question... and I'll take any comments etc.
from anyone. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>With this schedule synchronization in mind, is there any
way that our MAAC Precision Aerobatics Committee can have some sort of
input into these schedules at the appropriate AMA/NSRCA level? </FONT><FONT
face=Arial><FONT face=Arial>(These inputs would probably be in the nature of
a suggestion or recommendation regarding common schedules. Not 100% sure
though.) </FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV></FONT>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>Please realize I am looking at the bigger
picture here. Yes we are a "different" country, yes we have a different
modeling association but we have enjoyed a long affiliation and it just
seems logical, in our shrinking world, to find common ground to help promote
and expand this segment of RC. The NSRCA, in adding Canada to it's
K-factor publication, has already shown leadership in this area (and I thank
them for it!).</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>There will be those at both the NSRCA and AMA levels
that will not support any change whatsoever, as they do not see any
"advantage" to them. Perhaps the ability for input from "other" countries will
be seen as a weakening of power to the existing structure. Nothing could be
farther from my mind as I believe we may already have a potential voice
(although a small one) that will not be construed as a threat.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>The Canadian I-VP's (of which I am but one of two) could
be permitted to add comment to the NSRCA's annual meeting in the form of
a report. No voting power of course but, at the least, a conduit towards
input. Could this be the start? Maybe....</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial> </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>The AMA and NSRCA have processes that must be adhered to
in order to bring proposals forward at the Board level and I will be the first
to admit that I don't know the intricacies of such but, should someone
make a motion to include I-VP reports under say "General Business",
I will gladly submit one :-)</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>Thanks,</FONT></DIV>
