The name came from the backs of their necks being red from working in <br>
the sun. For some reason, people like my grandfather, who was a truck <br>
farmer in upstate New York was not called a redneck. The southern <br>
people with red necks generally like NASCAR, bib overalls, chewing <br>
tobacco/snuff, fried chicken and big breasted women. Hmmm, I like 3 <br>
out of 5, so I might be a redneck.<br>
