<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>With my JR digital servos (8231) I had a bit of
noise and hunting when using a freshly charged 6V NiMH pack (peak around
6.6v). I then installed a 5.7V regulator. No more top off
voltage noise and jitters. I have since switched from a 1650ma 6V NiMH to
a 2200 4.8 NiMH pack. Both batteries weigh the same. I now have a
lot more flying time before charging with almost no reduction in flight
performance. Just my $0.02 worth.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Sure, it's safe with most of what's available
now. The current crop of JR servos and receivers are A-OK
with 6V packs. Most of the Hitecs I've looked at are OK and some
Futabas as well. Airtronics provides specs for 6V operation on some
servos.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV>So, is it safe to use an unregulated 6v pack with any quality receiver
and servos? I have always used the Duralite regulator, but would like
to get rid of it so I can quick charge directly through the switch without
taking the canopy off and disconnecting the battery. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I was told that I could do that anyway depending on how it was wired,
but I set it up exactly as the instruction say and am not able to quick
charge through the jack.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Thanks</DIV>
