<DIV>Larry, I have been running 140L's now for three years and have
found the 15.5 X 13N and 15.5 X 13 works on the Finesse and Angels Shadows. I
will get a solid 8500 static. The idle thing sounds like it has a problem
getting down to 2K so the idle can be effective. It may be loading up too much
with you trying to keep the top end R'sss down by richening. Once you get into
the 8,400 to 8,600 RPM static range and only back off 2 to 3 clicks I bet the
low end will clean up allowing you to get on the idle side of the carb. Then
see what happens. I chased this same thing for half a season till Charlie
Williams helped me out by getting the right prop and mixture combo</DIV>

<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV>OK...I've posted questions about problems in the past...Now this
may be on the other end of the scale...</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>My YS 140L was very strong this weekend. I have changed fuels
and I'm using PowerMaster 30%-DZ.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I know I'm turning too many RPMs so here is what I'm currently
running:</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>1) Prop 16x11 (Prop Clearance issue for anything bigger than a 16"
dia)</DIV>
<DIV>2) Hatori Pipe...Has the tab for mounting built into the pipe.
Don't remember the number.</DIV>
<DIV>3) 1/2" Header (Black and Tony Stillman thought it may be the
header from Australia).</DIV>
<DIV>4) 1/2" Teflon coupler from McMasters.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Sorry I don't have the numbers for the pipe and header, but I'm new
and don't remember this stuff. I bought the plane used last year.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Current max RPM is 9,200. I richened it up for 8,900 max. It does
seem to spit allot at idle, but hold good pressure in the tank. I have
programmed the idle up function on my Airtronics Stylus to drop about
500rpm for landing as it only comes back down to about 2700 - 2900 after
running for a couple of minutes. Will idle forever at around 2,000 -
2,200 once it first started or after a couple minutes from a long
run...</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Look forward to you
responses...</DIV></BLOCKQUOTE></BLOCKQUOTE></DIV></BLOCKQUOTE>
