The first thing I made = note of on practice day was that the APC 17 x 12 Std was WAY too fast on = the Arresti (11 lbs), so I had to try the Lockhart Twister....bolted on = at the motel on Friday night... Saturday - early enough to rudely awaken all the sloths in the motor = home (Team A/S, you there??), I managed a quick test flight. I was = happily surprised to clearly see what I was after. Good acceleration - = not nearly as rapid on the bite as a 2 blade Std, but plenty good - and = really exceptional braking. The three blader just offerred this very = smooth dynamic brake that really made it easier to manage things. My thanks to Dave Lockhart for doing his re-pitch, and my plea to = Fred Burgdorf to make a mold. The 15.5 x 12 three blade is a wonderful = setup...mine was turning about 8150 on Magnum 15%, slightly less on two = other brands I was able to run side by side. I was very surprised to = actually see 120 rpm difference on a prop of this load. Anywho - if you guys are looking for a great braking prop that still = operates in the torque band of our motors - contact Dave = Lockhart....(Lance - I'm sure he can replace your modified prop...<G>) Bob Pastorello rcaerobob@cox.net www.rcaerobats.net --NextPart_Webmail_9m3u9jl4l_7393_1085490916_1 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=3DContent-Type content=3D"text/html; = charset=3Diso-8859-1"> <META content=3D"MSHTML 6.00.2800.1400" name=3DGENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>This past weekend, I enjoyed the = challenge (ahem)=20 of attempting to fly in the most incredible turbulence, gusts, and = changes in=20 direction of wind during a pattern contest that I can recall.&nbsp; The = first=20 thing I made note of on practice day was that the APC 17 x 12 Std was = WAY too=20 fast on the Arresti (11 lbs), so I had to try the Lockhart = Twister....bolted on=20 at the motel on Friday night...</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Saturday - early = enough to=20 rudely awaken all the sloths in the motor home (Team A/S, you there??), = I=20 managed a quick test flight.&nbsp; I was happily surprised to clearly = see what I=20 was after.&nbsp; Good acceleration - not nearly as rapid on the bite as = a 2=20 blade Std, but plenty good - and really exceptional braking.&nbsp; The = three=20 blader just offerred this very smooth dynamic brake that really made it = easier=20 to manage things.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; My thanks to Dave = Lockhart for=20 doing his re-pitch, and my plea to Fred Burgdorf to make a mold.&nbsp; = The 15.5=20 x 12 three blade is a wonderful setup...mine was turning about 8150 on = Magnum=20 15%, slightly less on two other brands I was able to run side by = side.&nbsp; I=20 was very surprised to actually see 120 rpm difference on a prop of this=20 load.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Anywho - if you guys = are looking=20 for a great braking prop that still operates in the torque band of our = motors -=20 contact Dave Lockhart....(Lance - I'm sure he can replace your modified=20 prop...&lt;G&gt;)</FONT></DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2> <DIV><BR>Bob Pastorello<BR><A=20 href=3D"mailto:rcaerobob@cox.net">rcaerobob@cox.net</A><BR><A=20 href=3D"http://www.rcaerobats.net">www.rcaerobats.net</A></DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV></FONT>&nbsp;</DIV></BODY></HTML> --NextPart_Webmail_9m3u9jl4l_7393_1085490916_1-- ]
