<P>Yes, it is just a definition. It is important that if you want to break a record (speed, altitude, cross country flying, etc) the "model" has to be below 5 kg. Probably, if the most common rule in this hobby. I found that went a visit the museum and started to check on different models that broke records. There was a curator there and I asked him the question. He respond was the model has to be below 5 kgs. Interesting.</P>

<P>I learned last year at the AMA museum that officially a model airplane has to be below 5 kilos or 11 lb. I noticed that all records using model airplanes requires that the model be below 11 lbs. Therefore, I think is going to be difficult to to increase the 11 lb limit. </P>
