really depends on the climate. If it's dry, there isn't much of a<br>
problem, if it is humid.........the bearings rust. <br>
Of course the SS bearings really helps.<br>
The engine was a YS 2 stroke....I found that to stop the rust you must<br>
remove the water from the engine...the fuel brand does not matter.<br>
On the Rossi's we used to use, WD-40 worked great but it stunk......I<br>
actually ran the engine about 30 seconds while squirting in the intake<br>
at high idle with that stuff...it ran on the propellant from the can and<br>
the engine blew out the water.<br>
No, WD-40 does not have abrasives in it and of course, to do this right,<br>
start with a new bearing so the old rust does not come<br>
off....hehehe....On today's 2 strokes 30 seconds at high idle on 25/75<br>
castor alky will do the trick. Just connect a line directly to the carb<br>
and bypass the pump...get a soft tank so you can squeeze for a little<br>
fuel pressure.<br>
