For Dieter: The Maxx Products regulator I
reviewed was a switching regulator. These work by switching the applied
dc voltage on and off with a variable duty cycle that self adjusts to hold the
output voltage constant. The switching is basically a high frequency
square wave that creates many harmonics that potentially can cause radio
interference. Mike's obviously works but I know others have had
trouble. Powerflite sold this same regulator initially but has since
gone to a linear regulator. Maxx may have changed also but I don't
know. If you get one, check your ground range with and without the
regulator to make sure you are not getting significant loss of
range.

Thanks for all the info. My next question was going to be
what voltage regulator are you guys using as I haven't selected one yet.
Now that you have recommended the Maxx Product I'll probably go with that.
Thanks again.

Dieter
On Wednesday, August 25, 2004, at 06:17

Dieter I use a similar pack (Berns) in my Tempatation with
about the same servo's and it's better than good. As far as the charger
goes I tend to stik to the deticated charger lik the NMP but I have used
my Triton on it and it works fine. I think you will be pleased with the
system. What regulator are you using on the system. I have found the
Maxx Prod. 10Amp to be very good. Mike

Dieter Rozek
