<DIV></DIV>>Wade,
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>GWS makes the Formosa and it is imported by Horizon. It is a great plane
<DIV></DIV>>when you add a brushless motor and Li-Po batteries. I have been flying
<DIV></DIV>>the current and next year's Masters pattern with it. Great snaps and
<DIV></DIV>>power. It flies the pattern very similar to the 2M ships with the same
<DIV></DIV>>performance. The only real difference is you have to be a bit quicker on
<DIV></DIV>>the sticks. I find this a good thing because when I fly a 2M patter ship
<DIV></DIV>>it is much more relaxing to fly.
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>I put up a web page with my Formosa experiences. I have now changed to
<DIV></DIV>>the new Thunder Tiger 1350 next generation packs for even more power.
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>Liked it so much I am building another one - this time with about 1/4"
<DIV></DIV>>dihedral to counteract some adverse roll with rudder.

<DIV></DIV>>Anthony -
<DIV></DIV>>I've flown a Shock Flier briefly and it's fun...
<DIV></DIV>>But (after a dozen or so flights) the Formosa w/ a Eflite 370 brushless
<DIV></DIV>>is
<DIV></DIV>>the closest thing to a foam pattern plane I've seen or flown. Certainly
<DIV></DIV>>no
<DIV></DIV>>replacement for a Focus or Hyde Away or ..., but way better than a shock
<DIV></DIV>>flier I think.
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>Haven't flown Real Flight G2, but G1 is stretched to allow a pilot to
<DIV></DIV>>work
<DIV></DIV>>individual maneuvers - I learned initial slow roll inputs that way - but
<DIV></DIV>>lines (horizontal and vertical) are completely impossible.
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>Come down this weekend and we can play w/ the foamies!

<DIV></DIV>>Anthony,
<DIV></DIV>> I haven't had much luck with any of the sims (although I haven't tried
<DIV></DIV>>the
<DIV></DIV>>Ikarus 3D sim), mostly because it's hard to duplicate pattern flying.
<DIV></DIV>>What I
<DIV></DIV>>mean is, the view ports don't really provide any good reference points
<DIV></DIV>>for
<DIV></DIV>>lines, etc. I like to use the Ikarus Shock Flyers for practice. You can
<DIV></DIV>>fly
<DIV></DIV>>them anywhere (even indoors in the Winter) and they're not too
<DIV></DIV>>expensive.
<DIV></DIV>>The $60.00 kit with the can motor is fine if you use small servos and a
<DIV></DIV>>3S
<DIV></DIV>>340 LiPo pack. Keep it light!!! Leave the L.G. off - you won't need it
<DIV></DIV>>and
<DIV></DIV>>it's heavy and breaks easily. Cheaper than the Formosa - save your money
<DIV></DIV>>for
<DIV></DIV>>fuel!
