I just thought I'd put this on the list as a kind of alert. while I <br>
doubt that anybody on this list would be scammed, it is possible that <br>
others who you might be acquainted with might be scammed.<br>
A couple of days ago, I got an email with a CitiBank logo at the top, <br>
telling me that they needed to "confirm" the information for my <br>
account. I simply deleted it, realizing what it was.<br>
Just now, I got another message informing me that "unless you reply to <br>
this message, your account may be blocked."<br>
Inasmuch as CitiBank obviously has many avenues with which to contact <br>
me, it makes no sense. But, just for the fun of it, I went to the URL <br>
they had posted.<br>
It develops that Road Runner has blocked access to the site; in this <br>
case, I couldn't be scammed, even if I had fallen for their scheme. <br>
Other servers might not be alerted to this situation yet. That's why <br>
I'm letting all the folks know.<br>
BTW: Would any of you like to help me transfer $250 million from <br>
Nigeria? ;-)<br>
