<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Jim Sheffield judged Masters and flew Intermediate
at your contest. I think he did a very good job. Of course he has seen the
Masters pattern flown many times and is familiar with all the judging criteria
for that pattern as well as all the lower classes. I'm of the opinion
that if you have been to a judging clinic you should judge some of the
upper classes. It is easier many times to judge the upper classes than the
lower ones.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I also think it is a good idea to spend just a few
minutes at the pilots meeting discussing a few elements of judging at every
contest. It gives the new guys a reference as to what the judges are
looking for and refreshes the experienced pilots.</FONT></DIV>
