<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>This year the day will be a different day for me.
My youngest son (19) is somewhere out there on the USS Harry S. Truman. He
is one of seven children in our family and the only one in the military. Not
since WW2, when all of my adult family were in service, have we had a son or
daughter in uniform.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>In his last note - they have e-mail these days
on the "floating city" - he called his first six-month trip out of Norfolk
VA. a "cruise!". I had to smile as I thought about him working on
E-2's doing 12 hour shifts with an active runway right above his head - not my
idea of a cruise!</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I just hope and pray that one day he will be around
to write about "being a veteran".</FONT></DIV>

support what the government is doing in the world theater but lets be sure that
this time we support our troops because they fight for
us!"</STRONG></EM></FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I wanted to say "Thank You" for all of the
sentiments for those who serve or have served. I find it very heart
warming when people of this great country express their gratitude for those
who server their country. I've served in the Air Force for the last 16
years and have always felt it was a way of life, not just a "job" or
"adventure". I usually shy away from the compliment because I've
always felt it is a way of life for me and therefore, one that doesn't need to
be thanked. I know that is not true, but for me being in the military,
it is natural, so no acknowledgement is needed. However, it does make my day
when people do acknowledge what we stand for. Not metaphorically, but
there on the front line. Thank You.</FONT></DIV>
