you truly want something flat that won't warp or swell it to find a local
Billard supply store and ask for a peice of chipped slate. Most places
will GIVE them away since they have to pay money to have them hauled
away. You can get a third of a full size table (roughly 30" x 48") or
sometimes even a full slab for a mini table. Both will weigh around
200#...so you'll need a solid table to put it on... But it lasts
forever, and is truer than true.</FONT></SPAN></DIV>

what exactly is the material you are referring to? Do you feel it would be
superior to MDF? I understand the material needs to be supported to prevent
sag...I just don't want anything that'll swell with moisture if I need to

fiberboard, to build cabinets, unless you want one "heavy as heck" cabinet,

heavy, industrial grade particle board is what would be used in cabinet
making, beneath the veneers. The material can be found at your local
