Although MDF board is a very stable material it
will still bend or distort if not supported with a good level base.
It is exceptionally smooth and heavy material that is easy to work with a router
and table saw. I have used it on the top of a wing shuck to weight
it down but the bottom shuck still has to be on a very flat surface.
It will also swell if subject to water setting on it for very long. You
can get it at Lowes or Homie Depot. :-)

Gents, I've seen references to using cabinet
grade particle board for making very flat building surfaces. I'm assuming
this isn't something I'll find at my local home depot. Any suggestions?
