some ply triangles that have been installed on edge, vertically, tying the
plate to the fuse sides, notched for the doubler. Used four of them,
spaced about 3/4" between, both sides, starting from the front of the ply
plate.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><BR></DIV>I'm not sure that "just" ca will fix the problem. These fixed
gear mounts<BR>that are designed an inch or so from the bottom of the fuse
can be<BR>disastrous when they let go and many of the current designs are
not<BR>terrifically well reinforced. On my Exceleron I epoxied a length of
maple<BR>motor mount wood to the joint where the side of the fuse and the
L.G. block<BR>contact each other. The front edge of the L.G. plate is then
screwed into<BR>this rail.I do not expect this plate to fail
