<DIV>Bruce:<BR><BR>Yes, Troy was very involved in this process and was one of
the few that actually went out and asked other pattern pilots to try some of the
sequences so NSRCA could get some feedback.</DIV>

<DIV>I really believe that changing the sequences in all classes should be done
every two years, even Sportsman. It does not hurt anything to make some
slight changes in each class. That brings a little new excitement to
EVERYONE! I would look forward to judging a new Sportsman sequence, just
because it was new! </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I really believe that this is the way that NSRCA is going now. It
will just end up being a standard practice to put together sequences for the
upcoming seasons... Once the process is started, it will be a new sequence
every two years. The process now in place at AMA began the
rule-making process on Jan-1 2005. The proposal ending time is Sept. 1 (I
believe) 2005. Then, cross proposals and final votes happen in 2006.
The changes will then take place beginning in 2007. It is a two-year
process, but we will be proposing new sequences that we will use in
2007... We just have to get started! I feel confidant that the new
leaders of NSRCA will jump right on this and start the process right away.

<DIV>When the new sequences were proposed, my DVP was Troy Newman, he flew at
my field. He brought all the proposals out and the guys in the affected
classes flew them. This was great as then we had a real long time to
evaluate and decide which way to vote.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>As a long time Intermediate Class flyer, I was glad to have a new
sequence. Then I was told by an Old Timer from the AMA contest board
that I wasn't good enough to fly the new sequences. This from an
FAI guy that sent the judges running for cover in each round
he flew! I am very happy with the new (old) turnaround Intermediate
sequence and I have not seen Intermediate pilots burying airplanes right and
left as was predicted. I saw more scary stuff from the three loops,
three rolls days of Intermediate. Hell, even Dave Lockhart admitted to
doing rolling circles while attempting three rolls in his early days. Of
course, he was only about 10 years old! LOL. I almost didn't stay an
NSRCA member after the guys above me who new better said I couldn't fly the
new sequence, gee I could after all. I was damn mad.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Maybe we don't need to change all the sequences every three years,
but it sure would be nice! So as far as developing sequences, we need to
get on the ball. It was great for TN to give us the proposals and let us
fly them and vote with our sticks as it were. So as I understand it, for
what TN did, we would need to be test flying around the country this year to
get anything in the next cycle.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I have supported NSRCA for many years, but as an Intermediate flyer,
well, what has it done for me lately? I do understand that the AMA has
stuck a few wrenches in the works.</DIV>
