sequence change but flew the new sequence at my first Nats to 3rd. >From my
perspective, the 3 consecutive rolls in the old pattern were the toughest
manuver in either the old or new sequences. That third roll meant you
couldn't fake your way to keep it online consistently. It taught me rudder
control, prepared me for 4points and slow rolls. When I go back and fly it
now, I can't without practice. This is unlike any other manuver in the
sequences (new or old) that are simpler or equal versions of Advanced/Masters
manuvers. Bottom Line: the intermediate sequence got easier.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV>Reference John's comment on the rules cycle when "...we chose
to make the sequences tougher..."</DIV>
<DIV>That cycle included an NSRCA survey and vote between proposed
new sequences for all classes. "The" membership (guess that means
a lot of us) voted for the tougher ones, and the AMA Board likewise voted them
in. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>There is some re-thinking going on now, that maybe we got them too
hard.</DIV>
<DIV>I'd suggest we may want to lighten up a bit on Sportsman, and maybe
Intermediate. I'm not in favor of a wholesale significant
shift to easier patterns.</DIV>
<DIV>(not in favor of enlarging box either)</DIV>
