<div>Just an FYI, I'm expecting to get a package this week with laser
cut Monokote to cover the wing, as well as graphics decorations for the
Temptations I'm building. There's also a set of matching laser cut
mylar templates for the tail, which will be masked and painted. I'm
really looking forward to this, as it really seems to hold a good
promise of being able to do some very elaborate designs with ease.
Once I decided on what I wanted, it only took a night of work on
TurboCad to make the patterns. Then it was just a matter of sending
the .dxf files off to get the cutting done. This was the first time
that Northeast Aerodynamics did Monokote for a customer and John Marien
was very willing to experiment a bit on his own time before I committed
to going this way. BTW, there are size limits to what can be cut,
roughly 30" square as I recall. This should be really cost effective,
since John is able to cut out extra things like your name, NSRCA
number, AMA number etc to avoid wasting material while cutting the main
pieces for the covering job.</div>
