<DIV>FWIW, </DIV>
<DIV>The CD/DVD read-write drive in my system won't even look at the AeroFly

not!</DIV>

<DIV>Got my s/w today and installed it. Very nice, and besides the
Smaragd there's helis, jets, etc. It's like getting the GP with the
add-on packs. I understand you can even download planes designed by
others or design your own. More than I need now.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>My question is how to best set it up for pattern practice. I think I
heard that box markers can be set. Also, I haven't found a view that
gives me the pilots box perspective so I can actually fly parallel to the
flight line and in the box. Any suggestions?</DIV>

<DIV>
<DIV>Lance, I just got Aerofly Pro myself and have been using an older
Futabe 7UAP with no RF module in it for the TX. Battery lasts
forever without an RF load on it. Works great and I am not wearing
out my 'good' TX. I am impressed by the 'feel' of Aerofly Pro
compared to the older Realflight G2. Have also tried the Realflight
G3 and my vote goes for AFP. The included Smaradg feels real good,
actually snaps and spins and the out of the box setup is pretty
close. I increased the down elev throw a little and also bumped the
rudder a little and that is all. </DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial>So I think I've seen that most everyone thinks the
Ikarus AeroFly Pro simulator is good for pattern. I'm thinking of
getting a sim but I'm nervous about using my transmitter with the
antenna down. Don't want to overload the RF and I don't want to
sit at my computer with a 3 foot antenna banging off my office
furniture. Oh, and I don't want to buy a new transmitter that lets
me turn off the RF. What are you all doing for a
transmitter?</FONT></DIV>
