I learned to fly on one in 1979 powered by a Cox Conquest 15,which I still have
BTW, and an Ace radio that came as a kit -even had to assemble the servos. I'd
take off - crash on very short order - go home and rebuild it and try again in
about a week to a month(depending on how much damage was done on the

a serious note, I don't know if cataracts or astigmatism cause <BR>multiple
images, but, before surgery, if I put a small black ink dot on <BR>a piece
of paper and looked at it with only my left eye, I saw four <BR>dots. One
was distinct and dark black, the remainder were fuzzy and <BR>gray. When I
did the same with my right eye, I saw two dots. One was <BR>distinct and
dark black, the other was fuzzy and gray. When I opened <BR>both eyes, I saw
three dots. One was distinct and dark black, the <BR>other two were fuzzy
and gray. When I looked at a white center pole at <BR>the flying field, I
saw a distinct, white pole and two fuzzy white <BR>poles on either side. My
