<DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=3>Eric,</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=3>Obviously, we haven't been using the TBL system.
I've never really understood it, but I think it employs a means of comparing
judges to each other throughout a round and pinpoints a judge that scores
abnormally high or low compared to the other judges for a given pilot compared
to how they judged for other pilots (again compared to their fellow judges). I
may be all wet on that.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=3></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=3>Note 2 sums it all up by saying that if you
DON'T use the TBL system (meaning us) then you have to drop the high and low
score if more than 4 judges are used (again meaning us in the Finals
setting).</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=3></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=3>Having said all that, I still think it would be
a mistake to go back and recalculate. Anybody who moved up would have a hollow
victory at best. Anybody moving down would have every right to be more than
suspicious. It's a lose-lose no matter how you cut it. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=3></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=3>If there's one thing that everybody needs to
understand here, it's that none of this had anything to do with the fantastic
job the scoring team did. I'm sure they had no idea that anything was supposed
to change when we got into the Finals. It's not my call, but my vote would be to
go back to dropping the high and low in the Finals for FAI and Masters next year
and just put this one to bed as it stands.</FONT></DIV>
