Report!!!<BR><BR></FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Today, while running an OS 1.60 with Master
Airscrew three-blade 16 x 10 on the ground, ONE blade departed cleanly at the
hub at near full power. The blade travelled approx. 45 yards, directly
in line with the prop disc-plane of the engine. There were no
injuries.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>This particular MA nylon prop had approximately
75 flights with the OS 1.60 on Aeroslave pipe setup. Ground peak rpm was
in the 85-8600 rpm range.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Based on other reports of three blade failures on
the OS 1.60, I won't encourage their use any longer. Two brands, several
different owners, different setups. Common elements - OS 1.60 on pipe
and three blade setup.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>This is just an FYI to those
interested.</FONT></DIV>
