<P>Dean,</P>
<P>I don't like to get into discussions of buy American vs. Foreign. I generally evaluate the best bang for the buck provided the quality meets my needs. I am willing, and usuall do pay a premium for quality, service and reliability. For RC pattern, I have always done this when I buy my high end radios, engines and now electric motors. We spend a lot of $ to support our pattern habit. I'll gladly put domestic products in the mix when they stand up to the competition.</P>

</FONT></DIV>Well, here's the problem I see it.<BR>
<BR>
We want to earn top $. But want to pay nothing - and still get it all. Cannot support an economy, domestically, on that theory. <BR>
<BR>
Another good one is "Quality, price, service... choose any two"<BR>
<BR>
My business - manufacturing in Phx Az - was killed by NAFTA.<BR>

<DIV>As I recall, the Honda Goldwing and Nissan Titan are the "most American-Made" motorcycle and truck on the market, respectively. Even most of the Honda cars and trucks are designed, fabricated, and assembled in the USA. The Honda Civic Sedan and Ridgeline even took top honors at the Detroit Auto Show this past weekend. They are very high quality, and built in America. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Unfortunately, quality is expensive and the old adage "buy cheap buy twice" applies. I hope the US economy can move back toward the quality end of the spectrum and away from the "$34.99 Wal-Mart DVD Player Special" mindset, before NONE of us can afford the quality products... <BR>

<DIV>I doubt if there is a consumer product of any value that is truly "American Made". GM may have assembly plants in the US, but I'd wager that half the content (parts) come from china, mexico and india. </DIV>
